I'm an Eastern European. I see both Eastern Europe and Latin America as semi-western.
Real West = USA, Canada, Western Europe.

I chose partially yes.
On the one hand Latin America is (mostly) Christian and derives its political system and much of history from the European colonization.
On the other hand it looks somewhat "wild" and chaotic, with much violence (cartels, gangs, armed insurgents), high crime, poverty, political instability, high social divisions etc.
All this with a mix of European, African and local (American Indian) culture and customs and ethnic and racial diversity, all mixed to a varying degree.
