No, I have no clue where H4d originated from, I would like to know. But no luck, like you mentioned there is not much information on the origin of H4 or its subclades.
No, not all my H4d matches are restricted to my maternal side and I don't know if they are actually all H4d or other subclades of H4.
I agree with you that we are not necessarily related groups, just because we are both Middle Eastern Christians, my 23&me autosomal DNA show I am 100% West Asian with 98.9% Iranian, Caucasian & Mesopotamian and only 1.1% Levantine.
Ah okay, I think I misunderstood what you are saying, originally. I really wish you good luck with this, if I stumble across information on H4d while looking for H4a I will try to forward it to you. Even though our groups aren’t the same, I still feel close to you all haha, not just through mtDNA lineage. But the H4 subclade life, is not very
easy, so I will keep my eyes out my friend. :—)

Thank you, that would be much appreciated especially with the scarce of info on H4 altogether.

I'm considering full sequence mtDNA test, why not, I have money to spend. I will research more, I know it is not always 'worth it' but this is my personal mystery I want to know about xd

Do you agree that light features are not as rare in Syria & Lebanon as some people in Europe and America tend to think? I'm not gonna claim every other person over there looks like a Central European but they are not extremely rare either.

Yes I agree, let me send you perfect photo for this lol. We don’t magically become 100% dark hair, dark eyed when you go into Asia.
