But you said Arab though Olivier, you didn't say fringe groups like Riffians in northern Algeria/Morocco ( which even then it's very rare to find types that look like Irish).

Arab is quite a vague term though I would say there are definitely Syrians etc who are as light as Irish

Arab shouldn't even be linked to race as there many different types of people from diverse origins who have adopted Arab culture and identity in their own local form. Most light pigmented Syrians I've seen at most look Balkan/northern Italian not Irish imo.

Yeah that's good and all, but why did you stop speaking your language then? Why did your people lose their identity unlike actual groups who became Muslim like Iranians, Kurds, Afghans, Indians etc?

The only true Arabs I suppose are the Saudis etc, some Syrians and Lebanese can have quite light phenotypes that wouldn't look atypical in the UK and Ireland, I do think for some reason Afghans and Tajiks can pass better in Ireland though.

Well, the Arabic language was imposed on everybody (it was the official language of administration) under Caliph Abd al-Malik bin Marwan.
We spoke Syriac/Aramaic.

Yes he said that. He was Muslim. He was from Canada but originally from Lebanon.
