A bishop from the Dominican Republic had pointed out to the Vatican that single mothers in Latin America often did not go to communion out of fear that the parish priest could refuse them to them. These mothers are also sometimes refused to baptize an illegitimate child. The Prefect of the Dicastery, Cardinal Victor Manuel Fernández, says that women are able to be helped “to claim the saving and comforting power of the sacraments”.

This is good; it allows these women who have sinned to reconnect with faith, and it allows those children who could be denied being baptized or raised in the church to have access to it and the opportunities it brings. Being a single mother is not the unforgivable sin, and if you are choosing to attend church and embrace your faith again, you should have the opportunity to be brought back into the flock and so should your child.

Sinners can't go to HC without going to confession first. You were aware of that, right? And having children out of wedlock is a sin. Please read up on the matter. This is not small beer, but a capital issue.
