Hello 7abibis, I see a few different threads to post IllustrativeDNA results but they seem to be a little disjointed, so I decided to make my own because I am bored and procrastinating. I am a bit new here still, but I have had time off work and been more interested in this sort of thing recently, so I am being quite active lol, it will probably go down a bit once I have things to do again. I took a 23andMe test in 2022 and I uploaded that data to Illustrative, for the most part to get coordinates but I like their interface as well. I know G25 is not the best for ancient component breakdowns, but this is what Illustrative gave me:


Admixture calculators, including G25, are always 'unfriendly' to me; I think this is because the closest population to me is Lebanese Christians, and while I am similar to them I have a bit more of a Northern shifted that makes me plot weirdly, since there are no samples that represent this. Here are my closest ancient and modern samples on Illustrative:

And here are both the global and Levant-only versions of their 'Periodic Ancient Ancestry Breakdown'... I think the global one tends to overfit me with higher Anatolian and then makes up for it with Arabian Peninsula, but that amount of admixture would not make much sense. It does the same with Sicani, et cetera

Thank you, I think mine are a bit weird, but I'm a weird minority so it is to be expected haha. I am going to order an Ancestry test as well to be done at some point to try to get coordinates with better raw data and see if anything changes, but that will take a while to come back, so I wanted to just archive my ID results for now.
