    It's western european downstream of R1b>P310, it looks like it peaks in modern Britain.

    Thank you! I had a look at the hubby's lineage and traced it down with surname and confirmed the location. There are two haplogroups in this area with this surname. One is R-FT12812 and the other is R-M269.

    So I can be pretty sure he is R1b.

    It is a descendant of R-L21\R-DF13. Same haplogroup branch as mine. Fairly common paternal line among Britons and Irish descents.
    YDNA: R1b-L21 > DF13 > S1051 > FGC17906 > FGC17907 > FGC17866

    R-M269 is the upstream 6400 ybp, which means that the other man hasn't tested further.

    The R-FT12812 is your husband's most recent TMRCA (time to most recent common ancestor) with the second match.

    He is R1b through and through.

    The hubby's family is from Isle of Skye. Scottish through and through.
