Also, Caracas varies from one sector to another. The school in El Paraiso (mostly middle class area) that I just started posting, is noticeably less African mixed than the high school in Caricuao (mostly lower/lower middle class area).
The general admixture seems to be 50 Euro/25 Native/25 SSA, so they look similar to costeños as a whole.

I agree with your estimate. And that's your estimate for that school in Caricuao, right?

25% African. That's far less African than the DR average (that is about 50%), and that's in a mostly lower/lower-middle class neighborhood in Caracas, excluding lots of areas in Caracas that are middle to upper middle class that are far less African than Caricuao.

I thought DR average was more like 30-40%?

Agree. This is the reason because many Venezuelan immigrants in Colombia are mistaken for costeños.

But if we count upper-middle classes, Euro admixture in coastal Venezuela must be higher than in Caribbean Colombia.

I'm not an expert in DR, but if it is less African than 50%, at most it could be like 40% SSA (and is more likely more SSA than that), but no way as low as 30% SSA.
