Yes, but this is not true for all Aegean islanders. Greeks from Chios, Lesbos, Cyclades, Skiathos etc. are not different in pigmentation from mainland or Anatolian Greeks and it would be very hard for anyone to tell them apart. When someone says Greek islanders he should explain which ones he means....

Maybe not individually but as a group I would disagree.

I believe you are referring that many apulians can looks iberian, but there are some swarthy types that wouldnt fit in iberia. I am very surprised by some swarthy types, `cause i know mostly people from central and north italy, many of apulians look a lot different than those ones i have met.

What I mean is that individually, some people can pass, but there are some very swarthy, East Med types in Apulia that just don't look Iberian.

Same thing i have said. Indeed, i was very surprised, in some pictures, by many swarthy types, that must have some n.a. descent. So Unitalian, altough there are some proper southern europeans (as iberians).

None of the people posted can't fit in Iberia. Not as regular type, but they can fit. The portuguese player Neto has the typical portuguese look IMHO.

which is the same thing as I said -- if their look wouldn't be regular there, as a group they cannot fit.

The vice versa is true. There are many types in Iberia that would really stick out like a sore thumb among them. And I don't think I need to post examples.

I think some people cant fint in Iberia, atypicals for Apulia too. Altough there are many apulian that obvioulsy can pass in Iberia and Southern France.
