I would not be able to live in an isolated cabin in the woods without electronics,
because I have a business and responsibilities to other people, and I am always super-connected.
Wherever I go, even on vacation to rural India, I have electricity, a satellite phone and portable satellite internet,
and I am always working online.

If I had no responsibilities, I could survive off-grid on a tropical island or coastal area,
but I don't think that I could live in an isolated cabin in the woods anywhere else.
I'm able to fish and process a fish, so I might be OK next to a lake, river or the coast.
I don't know how to forage for food, gather mushrooms and berries and plants, so I would need to learn,
or I would need some agriculture or gather local fruit, which is possible in a tropical environment.
I'm able to hunt with a firearm, but I wouldn't be able to butcher and process an animal.
So I would have to take a year's worth of supplies including food, with me,
and only then I might be able to take your offer.

I don't see how it is possible to live totally off the grid without a vehicle and regular shopping trips,
unless one raises animals or hunts without a firearm, and grows food or forages.

There was a decent film recently about a woman struggling to live off the grid:

But atleast some of what we discussed wasn't here and you learnt about me a little Now I know why you linked me to this thread in our pm first

Oh and I have a question for you. I know its a little dark but if you had to decide for either yourself to die or your twin, would you sacrifice your life for her? I know it's easy to think of course I would, but put in that actual situation in the moment would you? I'm not sure what I would do. I say yes now, but I'm not sure if in the moment I could do it and it actually makes me sad to think about.
Yes I would sacrifice my life to save my twin sister or anyone else I care about.

The moment itself must be horrible though, I cannot imagine.

I have only read to page 25 and very briefly so excuse me if you have to repeat an answer but:

1)You seem to have a very high crystallised intelligence, how did you get it so high?

2)Would you ever consider entering into politics in some shape or form?

3)Why are you politically on the right and what age did you realise this, and do you think you could ever change to more of a centre or centre left perspective? If not, what is the main reason

4)You seem to paradoxically advocate against the use of government surveillance, DNA, monitoring, goverment intervention ect (for yourself atleast) but have issue with crime and disorder of others, so would you advocate for greater government surveillance or less of it?

5)What are your thoughts on charities and the issue of high administration fees within most charitable organisations?

6)How do you find the time to post on internet forums such as this for example with your schedule? Whats the key to your efficiency?

7)Does your sister use forums such as this? Does she know you post here?

8)And lastly not a question, and I know you said you don't watch anime, but I just wanted to say you remind me of the twin characters from the anime "Monster" - but not any of the bad parts of their character, only the good or neutral parts and similar story background (the twins were both orphaned)

Apologies if I missed the mark on any of these questions I'm making some assumptions about you which might be wrong I'm trust trying to find out more about you

    1) Thank you, that's very nice of you to say.
I think that home-schooling CAN be more efficient and time-saving than regular schooling for some people,
so it is possible to learn more, faster, without being slowed down by others.
Much less time is spent or wasted on homework and unnecessary activities,
and it is possible to read and learn more of what is truly interesting, useful and desired.
And learning is more customised, can become more specialised when strengths are identified.
Also, I am free from the distractions of group projects, social life, cliques, peer pressure, dating, etc.

    2) No, I am much too eccentric and unusual for political office.

    3) The more crime and violence one is exposed to, the more right-wing a moral person typically becomes.
I think that many genuine benevolent liberal-leftists are simply very sheltered, naive,
and insulated from the consequences of their own policies.
So their beliefs are often luxury beliefs.

This is the best summary I wrote on this thread of my political ideas, I am open-minded, please reply if you like:

    4) No, I don't want more surveillance. The old-fashioned, common-sense, simple and direct methods work best.
Many places have greatly reduced their crime in recent history, using simple methods.

    5) Many large "charities" are fraudulent, political, and economically self-interested,
hardly helping anyone in real life, like most foundations, including Gates, Clinton, Soros, etc.
I think only 5% of donations to the Clinton Foundation actually helps anyone, the rest is "expenses".
And the most respected charities like the Red Cross spend some 50% of their money on bureaucracy.
So unless you are willing to support the bureaucracy of a large, respected charity (which may be necessary),
the best thing is to support a small local charity that you know is making a difference!

    6) I don't sleep much, only 2-4 hours at a time, twice a day (bimodal sleep pattern), flexible/unpredictable hours.
I am very energetic, diet and lifestyle help, and this is my only creative hobby right now.
And I am often flying on airplanes.

    7) Yes my sister posts as well using my account, almost half of my posts are hers.

    8) Thanks, I have not heard of it! You gave me a new avatar idea. But Riza looks more like me in real life.
I don't know much about anime, my avatar comes from Yandex image search.
