Reason for so much travel-movement?

My adopted family has been in the aviation business for over 100 years:
first it was building airports, then it was investing in airlines,

more recently (since the Cold War), their business involves cargo and passenger charters, fixed-base operators,
and other aviation-related real estate and business.

Then my grandparents died in the late 2000s and my parents died unexpectedly in 2010.
We were 18 at the time, completing our first year of online university classes.
We ended our studies to manage a complicated business.
(We did not have any employees at the time; everything was investment, dividends, capital gains.)
Luckily we already had a strong financial education from our parents.

There was some long-term real estate investment since 1950 or so,
but our real estate business mostly started in the mid-late 2000s when I was a teen.

From the late 2000s, we moved much of our wealth from the financial system into real estate.

So we are involved in aviation AND real estate

I am unable and unwilling to settle down, I have not found any continent or country where I would choose to live forever;

I prefer to stay mobile.

I like different countries for different reasons, but my strongest feelings are for South Africa

I've always said that's the real 'Mandela effect', where 9/10 people are unaware he was a real terrorist, not just a saintly victim of racism.

Agreed! I had no idea about his terrorist past. In Croatian media/TV/schools he is presented as noble fighter for equality of blacks.

Do you experience any cognitive dissonance being so cosmopolitan and yet pro-nationalist/anti-globalist (I assume)? It's kind of rare.

I see that Balearic islands are marked in your map , In wich island have you been? Mallorca, Minorca, Ibiza or Formentera? Do you like the place?

I wanted to talk to you about them earlier, but I never found the time

My family has been visiting Ibiza since 2002, since I was 10, this was my first experience in Spain.

Since then we discovered that Spain is excellent for real estate investment!

Before my parents died in 2010 when I was 18, we only lived and invested in Ibiza,

and after that we began exploring and living in mainland Spain, various cities over many years!
(I can tell you everywhere I have been)

But we only invested in Ibiza and Mallorca, we spend about a month in Ibiza and Mallorca every year.

We buy and sell homes in hot markets popular with foreigners, such as Ibiza and Mallorca,
in the areas west of Palma, such as Son Vida, Port d'Antratx, etc

We also have some long-term investments or furnished properties that we may sell many years later;
in the meantime they are inhabited by some close friends and employees who manage our local affairs.

Today some 16% of our real estate sales come from Ibiza and Mallorca;
60% from the United States, mostly California;
20% from Singapore and Dubai (I group them together because the same employees manage both);
4% from Russia

We have visited Menorca and Formentera as well but we have never stayed there overnight.

One of our friends who lives in Ibiza is a Swedish lady with a sailboat, she taught some of our other friends to sail,
she has sailed us to Menorca and Formentera and all the other islands, such as Cabrera and Dragonera

I know some basic Spanish, not enough for a conversation, but I understand and read Spanish very well
