In all fairness, your light Afghans are at least pure afghans, meaning they're native there and barely have foreign input. Whereas these blonde mehmets in Turkish shows range from north caucasian, slav and even russian in descent. And yet some turks come here to claim them as "native turkz", but they'd cringe when a more native looking eastern anatolian who has some syrid-iranic component is labeled as a "typical turk".

Ironically, I was literally just thinking that lol. Atleast for Afghans, our "euro" looking ones ( I don't care about looking euro, however light pigmented features are not only native or owned by Europeans ) are actually native to the region and have no outside input, unlike the whole of middle east and turkey, where you have Circassians, Chechens, Bosniaks, Avars, mamluk descendants of slavic ancestry etc.
