    The Black country has a stronger accent than the entire rest of the Midlands probably because it is quite a historic dialect that has quite a few influences from old English, the Lancashire accent as you may well know is basically more a continuation of the west of England dialect with the strong Rs but with some more Northern influences.

    Yeah, even between Northern Derbyshire (and Nottinghamshire) there is still a difference in accent from Sheffield.

    The beast of Bolsover, remember him? had a discintly different accent to Sheffield, this is a Sheffield accent, has the flatter midland tones but a more northern melodic quality to it

    the accents arent noticeably different in my opinion but I live in one of those shitty ex industrial towns north east of chesterfield that are part of the chesterfield borough rather than actual chesterfield so that might make things different.
