Whiskey or Vodka: Which do you prefer?

Whisky is one of the most complex spirits in the world. It doesn't even make sense to compare it to vodka.

My body couldnt handly whisky as well as vodka to be frank. Most likely high quality vodka was the best alcohol- if you pick your poison so to say- without suffering too much the next day- however i did like to drink 1,2 glasses of good whiskey back then.

- it is not so difficult to prepare at home if you are an enthusiast.
- vodka can be easily turned into a tincture by adding certain fruits or herbs.

It's an easy solution for a quick problem. But its use ends there.

I fell in love with rakija - I liked the apricot one so much that I bought the other three varieties from this manufacturer (Simex). How did they retain so much of the original fruit flavor after two distillations? The French, with their cognac and Calvados, don’t do that.
