I find them quite different, especially once they are cooked (they need to be cooked).

How different are plantains to bananas?

I find them quite different, especially once they are cooked (they need to be cooked).

The plantain is not as sweet and is often larger and more fibrous than the banana, but they are otherwise very similar.

The plantain is a culinary vegetable, but both the plantain and banana are biological fruit.

I like to bake and cook with plantains when in warm or tropical climates.
