Yes 90% of alco I drink is red dry and semi dry wine. Sometimes I buy rakija, but not too often (it's the only type of spirits I drink).

Well, you see, it all depends on the quality – a little vino can be downright healthy. And when it comes to wines, port is in a league of its own.

The best price/quality option here is 1l of Macedonian Stobi wine, they have perfect dry and semi dry wine. There are lots of great Russian wines, too, from Crimea and Kuban' (Krasnodar region).

I know, I face social exclusion in Croatia for my hate of wine, especially in my ancestral region. But, spirits are much better.

What's the typical croatian beer? Didn't have time to drink there.

There are many types of Pelin, I imagine you drank cheapest trash from Badel (north Croats drink it, maybe eastern ones too). In the south Maraska makes same cheap pelin but with better taste IMO.

My friends who drink wine are all full of complimnts for Macedonian wines. They are pretty cheap on average and even cheapest ones are decent. They also say they are best buy economically speaking. When we aim to get drunk, they buy Macedonian (white though)

I drank Maraska and I think it's not related to quality but me having no habit of drinking herb spirits.
