I would say US south and UK based chiefly on latitude and what it entails :

    - daytime and sunshine hours, especially in autumn-winter : Atlanta gets 3x the sun London gets during those months, and at higher angle/intensity ; no matter how chilly or snowy, cold season is 3-4 months tops in the South and much brighter
    - you literally have 8 months of summer-like temp. w/ high sunburn risk while UK for half that period is still dealing with mud and drizzle..
    - hurricanes and tornadoes + the mosquito scourge, ac dependency etc.

At the end of the day it depends which angle you look at it, a geologist or botanist may disagree with this but I'm interested more in the tangible experience or "climate shock" if you will.

I love Panonnia. But for certain amount of time.
In my opinion, most scenic landscapes are neither Pannonian plain or Dinaric karst, but Sub-Pannonian hilly areas of Banija, northern Bosnia and central Serbia.

Most healthy areas for living in ex Yugo space are Med and Sub-Med zones (minus bigger cities with industry) and places depeer in continent rich with forests (they are mostly at higher altitude). Plains (like Vojvodina), big cities (like Belgrade, Zagreb) and some bigger cities in mountain areas with bad geographical position (which are in basins and have no enough wind) as Sarajevo and Novi Pazar are not healthy for living. Sarajevo often has very polluted air, regardless it's in the mountain/Dinaric zone. Han Pijesak is relativelly close to Sarajevo, but they are different as day and night in air quality. Han Pijesak due to high elevation (about 1100 m), lack of industry and lot of forests around is air spa. HP is one of the richest places with ozone in Europe https://visit-javor.ba/en/

Loved it. These huge flat plain, endless open space, so much green, so tame, yet so inviting and you feel up to adventure in such lands. And ofcourse the huge Balaton lake in middle of it all. Hard to decribe how much I love Hungary, it's right there close with Croatia in my heart.

Hungarians are aso very polite, non intruding in your business and cultured folk like is the plain they inabit.

    Hungary is awesome.

Stears hometown lies in one of coolest landscapes in Hungary, with unique volacanic hills and near the west coast of Lake Balton. It's not 100% flat.

It is not karst all around like in Bukovica. Village is quite diverse geographically. There are typical karst areas, but also fertile field, forests, meadows, plenty of water sources, even swamp etc. People from other regions (Bukovica, Lika, Bosnia, Serbia etc) which worked in our village as teachers and medical technicians at the ambulante were fascinated with the diversity and beuty of nature.

    Here is some other photos.

^^^^Zagora is in general very beautiful, one of most underrated places in the country. And everything there is so healthy, from plants to food, air and water.

Why lowlanders have high suicide late? I love the plains, but I did start feeling kinda depressed in them after some months.
