Also forgot The Endurance (2000) from my top 100 British films, about Shackleton's Antarctic expedition.
    Spoiler!

Thanks, and no I didn't remember them off the top of my head, I have most of them on my hard-drive or on disc, and most of them listed down the years.

Hard to say, there are dozens of good films and some of them have been mentioned in the thread.
This time I'm going to be "commercial" but by some reasons I find them interesting films, some that come to mind:

Rocky (1976): Everybody laughs when I say I like this one. I find it a good film (I like the first one, next "Rockys" are just muscles and steroids).
Conan the Barbarian (1982): My friend Arnold . The music of the film is fantastic and how they adapt it to the action scenes is very good. The beginning of muscles films.
The Mission (1986): Robert de Niro, no words needed. The music incredible.
Saving Private Ryan (1998): The beginning of shooter video games, all of them inspired by this film scenes.
The sixth sense (1999): In my opinion, pioneer in unexpected endings
Enemy at the Gates (2001): WWII Russian Front, finally a tribute to Russians.
Gran Torino (2008): The old Clint Eastwood.

Some european that come to mind that provided me entertainment...The Full Monty (English), La Vita e bella (Italian), Mar adentro (Spanish), Les Choristes (French), Good Bye Lenin (German)...

Give a high-function autist 24 hours and you'll marvel at the lists they can produce but once the pleasure of making lists fades... God help us all.

    River's Edge

Crispin Glover's character is a bit... over the top but it's a good film.

    The Killers

Hardcore film with Lee Marvin (is there any film that isn't hardcore wih Lee Marvin?) It's based on an Ernest Hemingway short story.

Indie icon John Cassavetes' A Woman Under the Influence

Any Kurosawa film is great but Ran is a cinematic masterpiece.

One of the coolest films Kurasawa's Yojimbo. Toshiro Mifune is so bad ass.

I love the whole Rocky franchise, no shame.

I'm a little envious of movie buffs who can remember the names of films, actors and all kinds of movie trivia. I've never been able to be emotionally attached enough to movies, even the ones I really like, I end up forgetting almost everything after a few years if I don't watch them recurrently. Whenever I played Trivial Pursuit with friends, the Art\Cinema questions were always my weak spot. I sometimes have to ask my wife if we've seen this movie or not, I often have deja vu feelings when I see some trailers but I'm not sure if I've seen it or not. Unlike me, she can remember perfectly if we're watching something we've seen before. The same isn't true of the books and music I enjoy.

When it comes to series it's even worse, I have almost all the most popular streaming services (Netflix, Apple TV, HBO, Amazon Prime...), there's so much on offer that it's impossible for me not to get the memory of a goldfish and stay exclusively focused on something when I'm watching several series at the same time.

When it comes to American cinema, I particularly like almost everything involving Di Caprio. From Europe, I like Soviet and Polish movies. From the UK, I really like Trainspotting. From Japan, Akira Kurosawa. Pretty generic, I'd say.

And I am currently watching all the seasons of Seinfield. It's a classic I've never seen in my life. For now, I'd rather watch series that have been over for several years than wait years for a new season to come out and I can't remember anything or I've lost interest.

Two awesome films about time travel

    Primer

Shane Carruth never went to film school. He had a regular job. He learned how to make films by just asking people who were in the field. He originally made the film on digital film and then converted it. It saved him a lot of money. He funded the film himself.

    Primer

Time Crimes was a cool film

I recommend the French movie Les Visiteurs. Classic scene when they bump into a black mailman and think he's a Saracen on a Devil's wagon
