    Were the Romans racist?

Why no country outside Europe speaks a Latin language?

Even The Byzantine Empire survived until 1453.

No. Imperium Romanum was a multiracial Empire and they enslaved all kinds of people. They were cultural supremacists from what I've read about them.

I can imagine myself in the atmosphere of the time of subjugated ethnic groups. For example, a conversation between gladiators from different parts of the empire. A conversation in free time in the gladiator school between Germans or Thracians with a black African (if they know Latin) about their respective homelands, the landscape of the country, his family and wife, the Gods they honored and so on. Both were in the same miserable situation and were viewed as barbarians and animals by their Roman masters. I think they viewed the Romans as the real barbarians and considered the Roman system to be inhumane, sadistic and generally immoral.
