I do live in a blue state. I know you’re very well traveled- have you visited the States extensively?
I honestly don’t have a confident answer regarding the voting question. The thing is usually rigged, but I also feel like withdrawal can sometimes be a psyop into apathy.

Yes I understand. If you are in a deep blue state and a deep blue congressional district,
then it does not really matter if you vote Republican or not, the outcome is the same.
Voting becomes a paperwork formality. I suspect that elections are rigged in some/many places.
Most of my friends live in blue states and cities, they vote but they already know the outcome long in advance.
But I would certainly vote if I were in a competitive district or state!
Yes I have lived in the US for several years already (3-4 months a year since I was 6 or 7), mostly in California,
but I was outside of the US for most of 2020 and 2021-23.
I also stay for a few weeks every year in Hawaii, Arizona, Florida, New York.
Much less frequently I also stay in Texas, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Colorado.
And in the past I stayed in Washington, Nevada, Georgia, South Carolina. And I stayed in Michigan recently.
I have a Canadian passport that allows me to stay in the US for up to 6 months.
You have a beautiful country, and I love the rural American people because they are vigilant, tough and free!
They remind of my rural white South Africans in many ways.
But I am mostly in the deepest blue states and cities, so I have to put up with a totally different population.
