Which nation, in your opinion, has the greatest architecture?

Portugal, Brazil sadly have few Barroque construcions left, but the ones like in Ouro Preto take my breathe off

Lisbon also lost a lot of constructions because of the 1755 earthquake. Like the royal palace by the river:

For grand buildings , I'll vote these ones especially for style of dome , temple column etc.(Roman/Greek fusion ?) :

Besides , I also find architecture of some of Euro castles fascinating (though this might have to do more with nostalgic horror movies than anything else) .

Nearly all the European countries have superb, historical architecture second to none in my opinion. Of those I've had the chance to visit, and excluding my own country, I'd say the same as gixajo, Spain, Italy and France, in no particular order. Outside Europe, I'm particularly keen on (Ancient) Egypt, Japan, China and the USA (dramatic skyscrapers).
