Die FPÖ ist eine liberale, demokratische Partei; wie auch die AfD z.B.
Die AfD ist da wo die CDU vor 20, 30 Jahren war, ebenso die FPÖ.
Für heutige Verhältnisse sind sie (mehr oder weniger) kritisch, aber der Mainstream rückt immer mehr nach links, das merkt man auch an den rechten Parteien.
Heute ist alles was nicht links ist gleich "rechtsextrem".

Ich würde immer weiter einflussreiche Personen und Gruppierungen in der AfD nicht als liberal bezeichnen, sonst wäre die AfD auch unwählbar für mich.
Das Institut für Staatspolitik und Schnellroda haben großen Einfluss auf Höcke und Maximilian Krah.
Das IfS wird von Erik Lehnert und Götz Kubitschek geleitet, beide sind Anhänger der Konservativen Revolution.
Ich denke das viele einflussreiche Personen in der FPÖ wie Hafenecker ein ähnliches Weltbild wie der Flügel der AfD haben.
Der Liberalismus führt immer wieder und unweigerlich zu den Umständen die wir im Jahr 2024 vorfinden und gehört allumfassend abgelehnt.

Being a German and focus on making the Nazis a topic and feel the need to denounce them is a big weakness that the CDU/ÖVP introduced on German patriotism.
We should never focus on the 3rd Reich and if someone else mentions it, we should refrain from distancing ourselves, regardless of what we believe.
The average Russian nationalist never distance himself from Stalin even if he does hate communism.
The average Turk, no matter if Kemalist or Islamist Ottoman would never talk about the Armenian genocide or distance himself from it let alone recognize that it even took place.
Both are nations that also have a history of being perpetrators not victims, yet have a generally very patriotic and nationalistic population due to their view on their own history.
Having a nation based on guilt over its past, is almost as pathetic as seeking patriotism over victimhood like with Jews and Armenians.

honestly, how does a nationalist party even make sense? The word nation quite literally means race, how could a party exist, which should have race as their top priority, while being in a system where you have to cooperate with others? I wouldnt say that extremists of this kind join any parties, at least in western/european countries, where you probably wont see a mass movement like that again anyway.
I can understand why someone would think this way about these parties, but i wouldnt consider them to be a threat at all.
