teeth, on horseback; they made a specal attempt
to capture me.'
Also departing in great haste, presumably just ahead of
Raspasani, was the Serbian Patriarch. Accordng to one
Venetian report he fled northwards with ten horse-loads
of 'rich furnishngs', and was robbed of them by
'Rascians' en route;
