For example, Coon includes East Africa in the chapter because of the Mediterranean racial influences there but he would certainly not have argued that Spaniards or any Europeans were closer to East Africans as a whole than to any other Europeans.

The first part of your statement is not true as the Western Mediterranean islands are included as well. The rest is more baseless criticism without reading the book.

Güney İtalyanları’nda ve Adalı Yunanlar daha da karışmış olmalı.

Evet Avrupalılık hem Hristiyanlık üzerine konuşlandırılmış hem de politik olarak icad edilmiş bir kimlik. Bazıları Boşnaklar ve Arnavutlar’dan örnek veriyor ama Avrupa’nın sınırında olmadıkları gibi hem hepsi Müslüman değil, hem de çok bilinmiyorlar (ve Srebrenitsa gerçeği de var). Zaten hayatında İspanyolları görmüş biri çoğunluğun koyu/WOG olduğunu bilir. Ama konu Balkan Türklerine gelince ya Müslümanlaşmış Balkan halkları diyorlar ya da Türki miraslarından dolayı hepten Avrupalılıktan çıkarılıyor ki Balt’lardaki Doğu Avrasya, Balkanlardaki (ve Güney İtalya’daki) Batı Asya ve İberya’daki Kuzey Afrika mirasını düşünecek olursak oldukça komik bir önerme.
