It is possible but doubt it will ever be publicly available. Maybe they could turn off some genes which could slow

It's like playing God. And going against nature's mechanism of reproduction, to have just a bunch of people who live very, very long, or eternally, confiscating all the planet to themselves. Nature seems to like variety, there are lots of individuals from whom, the most adapted transmit their genes to the next generation. If only a few live, this natural evolution is stopped.

If one looks at the past and present, this wish to achieve immortality existed since the dawn of humanity. Many kings, queens, pharaohs saw themselves as deities meant to be eternal. This is an obsession, exalted by their hubris, really. Just human brain playing tricks on them.
