Only 2 white players in Argentina U23 among 22 footballers?

In exception of Nicolás Valentini and Luciano Gondou, all the Argentina U23 squad is mixed-race. How can 85% of Argentina's population be considered white (according to the census) when only 2 players in a group containing 22 are actually white - with the rest being a mixture of Europeans and Amerindians?

Well, even if it they are around 60%, it doesn't make sense for there being only 2 white guys in a group of 22

The squad of a national football team is not always representative of the ethnic composition of the nation it represents. The case of several European national teams is a good example.

Thank you. The French team has been majority Black for a number of years now, the England squad is 40-50% Black, while the Belgian, Dutch and Portuguese teams also have pretty high percentages.

As for Argentina, while it is majority White, it is nothing like as uniformly so as some like to claim (no more than 60%), even if it may be the case that, like in many countries, non-whites are over-represented in football and some other sports largely for socioeconomic reasons, as well as sporting ability.
