Why are Americans so obsessed with height?

I'm around 6'5, but that's no use to me except for reaching the very top shelves. If I had made it to the NBA, everything would have changed, though.

I think the wider-culture amplifies the voices of the height-obsessed. I’m only 5’09.5”-ish and never felt saddened by my height...lol.

In Russia it's also a trend of last decade. Males "should be" at least 180 cm. I have comfortable 183 cm, everything higher than 188, max 190 cm may be annoying in everyday life imo.

Cristiano Viejo provided nothing except to create ethnic flame wars. Almost every forum flame war between Spaniards vs. *insert ethnic group here* revolved around him. Notice how all that stopped once he was gone.

This is how those flamewars would start (I'll pick a random ethnic group):

CV is what I refer to as a 'muh people' type. This type of person has no real interest in their people's history and culture beyond the superficial, child-like muddled version they've accepted for their own psychological and self-esteem needs.

This type of person is easy to spot: they'll never acknowledge people from their ethnic group did something wrong unless they have an ideological difference with that person. In that instance, that person isn't truly from their ethnic group in their eyes.

And, yes, Laredo offers nothing.
