The story is that Jean-Michel Trogneux (born 1945) began transitioning into long-dead Brigitte Trogneux the late 1970s,
and fully became her in the mid-1980s, when Brigitte Trogneux appeared and Jean-Michel Trogneux disappeared.

"Brigitte Trogneux" only reunited with her extended family in 1990 or so.
This is the first time they encountered her since 1960-61 at the latest.
Not long after, Brigitte met Emmanuel, who was 14, younger than "Brigitte's" children who were in the same school.

Emmanuel was clearly going to be successful, he was intelligent in a meritocratic society, he got into an elite school,
and then made the right Masonic connections, advanced through the levels and became a Rothschild banker.

I'm not familiar with the French jet set, but a brief search indicates that there is no reliable evidence that she is in fact transsexual, nor has she confirmed it to date. Just rumors and allegations. You also have to consider that she could be a hermaphrodite, like Caster Semenya. Or just an androgynous woman.
