I don't know what you mean by Anglo American culture. I don't see mainstream (white) American culture as particularly 'Anglo' besides speaking English, and it hasn't been particularly 'Anglo' since the 1910s/20s, after which Jews largely took control of the media and the re-invented the culture.

Not sure you understood my point, what I meant is that people nowadays identify as X or Y euro nationality and not even as american, which I doubt was the case before the latest waves of European migration that mixed with the first settlers. There's only two states in yellow (that see themselves as nothing more than American) + 1 that consider themselves Native American. You can count the Aframs as well, but not sure, since there's a reference to another continent in the term.

Well i can name a few people who have always identified as a euro nationality. Most prominent, Irish of course. Then you have Italians around New York. And French-Cajun, Spanish identity to the south etc. I think identifying with euro something has always been very visible in Usa. Although currently its craziness, due to bad state of Amerikans and theres socio-politic benefits of doing that.
