The first one with food on cemetery is not an "Orthodox custom", they existed in Russia, too and were always condemned by Church, thanks God they almost disappeared now.

Krajina traditions seem to be legit.

Most of the metrics used are outdated and useless. As the aussie pointed above, most of the "happiest" countries in the world happen to have the highest suicide rates too... happy people don't commit suicide.

Happiness is so subjective. It seems like people living in greenhouse, those who avoid hardships at any cost and get state care and welfare turn out to be most unhappy ones.

The degradation of high education in Serbia has begun in 2005. when Bologna Process was implemented. Until then we had quality high education inherited from Yugoslavia.

Yugoslavian companies performed various construction works/project in Africa and Asia in 1970s and 1980s. In more recent time Chinese companies are building bridges in Serbia, Turkish companies roads etc. We are not capable for that anymore.

Krajina Serbs are not like Serbs of Serbia (Srbijanci) in that segment traditionally. There was no cult of music and dance among us as tradition. We are poor in that, and even our traditional dances and singing are without music. When one my cousin was getting married for Serbia Serb (Srbijanac) in 1960s his family and relatives on the wedding were danced including his old grandfather, on the other hand her family and relatives were just spitting as some robots. They were shocked with behavior of Srbijanci, and someone of them compared them with Gypsies. In general among Krajina Serbs is not rare that tendency of Srbijanci towards dance, music, their more relaxed behavior/way of life call 'Gypsy' features.
My ancestors performed this dance, it is called 'biračko kolo.' There is no music.

Because you had militarized culture and lived in militarized region devoid of any culture except war. Plus poil dinaric soil. Serbia is fertile.

All dinarids are similar in that, they are ascetics of Balkan/Slavic world. Even my island Zlarin is same since we are dinarids that crossed the sea. We have no musical tradition, dance kolo without music and are known for being musically untalented. Our island is quite quiet and depressive place off season, and people are closed. However it's very deep/dignified.

We are known for academic aptitude and very ambitious. We have highest amount of medical doctors in CRO and are much more educated than is average, even those from poor families.

    This is typical dinaric mentality.

    Ours:

our folk costumes are very simplistic and ascetic, without any unnecessary details and without much color compared to much richer/colorful/full with decorations Pannonian costumes. That's also typical for dinaric Slavs.

    They are very elegant however.

Bukovica is the poorest part of Dalmatia, and Serbs were strong majority there. In Knin and Zadar there was many doctors, engineers, directors etc. from Bukovica. In Knin vast majority of doctors for example were from Bukovica. People from that area are capable. They have a preference for high education but also for smuggling, bussiness etc, and they are clanish (they are connected and support each other). They are similar as Montenegrins, who are also known capable and clanish people. Many Bukovčani in Serbia where most of them today live are succesfull. Many of them are still connected with their villages. They visit own villages every summer with children and grandchildren which are born in Serbia. Their villages are close or relatively close to the coast, and they visit coast as well when the are in Bukovica.
One doctor from Bukovica which worked in Knin was unhappy because he had two daughers instead of son (his wife was also doctor), and he called them 'pišulje.' Later he got a son with mistress, she was a nurse. Regarless he was high educated, he was typical Dinaric 'taliban.'

To be honest I hate everything about Yugoslavia so my opinion is for sure biased, but I'm going to try to keep it civil and express my opinion anyway.

It was unrealistic to keep SFR Yugoslav level of education in a country where the average salary was like in Africa (SR Yugoslavia/Serbia & Montenegro). Bologna process was practical thing to do, and I believe so because of two things:
    a) Many of the professors were just egomaniacs, Bologna standards put them back to reality
    b) Because of a) a lot of potential students did not want to study and/or if they really wanted to they would just go to foreign universities where they would have normal conditions, practical experience and just overall head start over someone who lost twice as much time (and nerves) in Serbian universities.

This led to universities/companies symbiosis in last couple of years, that got us a lot of new foreign investments, as now students get to know what work in practical environment looks like and come out more prepared, which investors recognize and invest in industrial departments in our country. Even theoretical physicists have better opportunities to create careers than before in the area of their expertise.

In the end, the less government employees we have the better we will be (I am not talking about military, police, and other vital infrastructure and other things, but companies that are suppose to belong to private sectors).

Eventually, we might get back to Yugoslavia level of education if we manage to catch up development level of Yugoslavia (in all aspects, not just one or two).

Thats “Daće” old slavic pagan tradition. In Vojvodina where in my town there are lots of Hungarians,Romanians and others and always look at us super weird when we eat food next to the cemetery
