i see 2 reasons:
1. its not getting shamed, more so its even being encouraged through immigrant culture
2. a lot of immigrants are dysgenic as fuck. The few that are at least not a drain on the economy are still utter opportunists/egoists who will leave for a better country the moment it pays more. Im probably not the only one who is aware of quite negative immigrant groups but then gets along quite well with the people of the country that theyre originally from. Turks are an extreme example for me, one of the worst immigrant groups, but really nice in their own country

that wasnt my point, however at least to some extent it might be true. Im saying that those that we end up getting are the worst that their country has to offer

How common is that? You come across an Asian who talks like a local, you don't think they are from elsewhere. You might ask them what is their ethnicity as you would anyone.

I thought you are speaking of immigrants in general that they identify as italians, germans, pakis, chicanos or whatever, you did spoke about chicanos in the USA too that they are not latinos but americans? I did said in my initial post, that it depends on the society, what their construct is of nation, race, ethnicity, and what they accept and what they not accept, that it might be different in peru then in austria.
