It's irrelevant if a subset of your ethnicity disapproves of you or doesn't acknowledge your belonging, as your ethnicity is inherent and cannot be negated by others' opinions. By virtue of your ancestral and cultural heritage, you are inherently part of that ethnicity regardless, especially if the reason behind the behavior is basically 'they're not us cuz they're poor' or some similar bullcrap.

i see 2 reasons:
1. its not getting shamed, more so its even being encouraged through immigrant culture
2. a lot of immigrants are dysgenic as fuck. The few that are at least not a drain on the economy are still utter opportunists/egoists who will leave for a better country the moment it pays more. Im probably not the only one who is aware of quite negative immigrant groups but then gets along quite well with the people of the country that theyre originally from. Turks are an extreme example for me, one of the worst immigrant groups, but really nice in their own country

The entire economic model and impact it has on every aspect in society is based on erasing any cultural and traditional identity.
Everything gets replaced with a popcultural subculture that is based around consuming the music, art, clothing and merchandize that helps you to identify as part of a pop cultural identity.

Most westerners are hypercultural, this means they prefer exotic cultures over their own and to some extend even feel ashamed over their own cultural aspects, why would anyone in his sane mind assimilate to a culture that hates itself and praises foreign culture?

Most right wingers in the West are technically not assimilated to their own modern society and by that culture. Whoever is a practicing christian in the west is almost as disintegrated from mainstream society like a exotic immigrant, as nothing a practising christian believes in or stands for is reflected in the mainstream society.

Id disagree for Germany at least, Immigrants especially 2-4th gen that only know their homecountry from the summer holidays often over idealize their native people and culture as they connect them to the great times during summer holiday and maybe cope with the rejection they get from being foreign in the country they were born in as 3-4th gen immigrants.
