You're making the highly Westcentric assumption that people in cities are more libertine than in the countryside. In fact, particularly given the prevalence of polygamy, concubines etc, in many parts of Africa the opposite may hold true - it is the cities where more people would adopt Western norms of monogamy and the nuclear family, and rural areas where more 'exotic' customs and family arrangements are likely to be kept in tact.

Do not forget that I live in a country that still has closed communities which in many way are still traditional. If a man there cheats or abandons the family, it's his family first that he will have trouble, then the family of the woman. Now imagine the woman being the cheater lol.

When women from such communities go to the city, far from their parents, they quite often act loose. Much looser than girls born in the city. I know Bulgarian Muslim girls from Rhodopes that come in Plovdiv and become trash. Nothing will make me think in Africa it is different.

Polygamy and family arrangement is part of some tribes culture. That's how they are and as they are not harming anyone, it is their right. Also there is no evidence arranged marriages are worse than marriages "from love" lol.
