Default French Catalans and Spanish Catalans are different ?

Are Catalans from the south of France different from Catalans from Spain ? Phenotypically and culturally.

Examples to illustrate my point : in the south of France, from the eastern Pyrenees to the Tarn, we can find the Catalan surname "Parayre", which is therefore purely French geographically.

Some famous French people who bear this name. Please feel free to classify them if you can :

Joseph Parayre, french politician https://ibb.co/V9R70cV https://ibb.co/Z21nsNQ

    Jean-Paul Parayre, french business man https://ibb.co/5YCwQ6k https://ibb.co/gPz2NsZ https://ibb.co/0YZph3B

Guy Parayre, senior military https://ibb.co/FVNY1v9 https://ibb.co/JCrXH9t

They look quite French but with a bit of extra Med influence, basically dinaro alpines generally.

Yes, I think that's it. A purely French Alpine-Dinaric base (in its mountainous part) with a more or less visible Med contribution. We still feel the French influence.

I checked on the forum, there has already been a thread on Sébastien Rassiat, a French guy from the Pyrenees (Catalan in his French part). It is not far from being a textbook Dinaric-Alpine, with a bit med perhaps. It passes through northern Italy and even central Europe.

Interesting, i was on holiday in southern France last year in the south alps, they looked similar, just a bit blonder perhaps. Spanish Catalans don't have as strong a alpine influence.
