What I would do to see if Ireland has a White trash problem is check how common are disorderly conduct arrests.

You say Irish have a monopoly on crime in their own country (indicating higher rates of crime than foreigners). That's easy to find out if you can look at their crime statistics and if it's separated by race/ethnicity group.

My friend from Moscow who moved from Moscow to Cyprus with his Greek mom in early 2000s used to work as bouncer in his 20s, he had a lot of stories with drunk Brits and Irishmen, dunno how it's now, but back then Cyprus was a place where all the trash from the Isles massively came to drink non stop.

The British do have a terrible reputation for drunkeness and violence. It's a constant complaint where ever they go.

Irish don't but it could be that people on the street in foreign countries can't tell the difference. They just see and hear an idiot who is speaking English that sounds different from American and so assume British. I don't know.

Irish wealth is very recent and their population was poor and quite neglected until recently. However it's unfair to equalize behaviour of Irish Travellers with average Irish people. Settled Irish want nothing to do with them.

I don't want to argue with Colonel, but my friend had no reason to lie and it fits general impression other people have. He enjoyed his time in Ireland anyway and never had a problem personally. On reddit you can read how native Irish gangs terrorize Dublin area and how it became a problem especially since covid.

I would assume quite a few of them are Travellers who are violent and criminal population that is treated by law with "kid gloves".

Irish Travellers are known for their violence but it's a tiny minority of the population. I wouldn't think I need to take precautions if I go to Ireland based on such a tiny portion of the population as I would going to India.

I read stories from western foreigners living in Croatia, including British, that it's unimaginable to them to walk alone in the park at night in their countries. In their countries people avoid parks at night while in Croatia women can walk at night alone without any problem. Was that because of their own low class or foreigners I wouldn't know.
The same thing is in Serbia or Bosnia.
