And Israel doesn't care. They do as they like. Israeli officials outright talked about starving people as a tactic. They don't give a fuck because they know nothing will be done.

The positive of having most of the international community turn on Israel is that Israelis will suffer social costs but let's not expect the international community to actually do anything. Netanyahu or anyone else will be on trial at The Hague for war crimes.



The Republican base doesn't want WW3. Despite the mentally ill Evangelical Christians, the rest of the Republican voters do not want any more wars.



Why would it be more beneficial?



It's why Netanyahu is trying to broaden the war by baiting Iran. That and because he has failed to meet his objectives in Gaza. While Gaza's infrastructure is basically destroyed and there are thousands of dead and starving civilians Hamas hasn't been defeated and still holds hostages. Only two hostages have been liberated by military action (and quite a few killed - including three gunned down - by the Israeli military). Hamas has gotten a lot out of every hostage they have traded.

However, regardless of who is in power, all this will continue until Israel gets tired. The goal has always been to ethnically cleanse Gaza and the West Bank, and Israelis are suffering from bloodlust over 10/7. They, of course, will fail because the Palestinians won't leave or die easily. Eventually, Israel will throw up its hands out of exhaustion (they can't have so many working males and women out of work and in uniforms).



I wouldn't have done anything (except hijack that ship) but I'm sure there are different factions and some felt something must be done to save face.

The solution to the situation is simple: tell Israel if they attack Iran, they're on their own. That will stop the Israelis. Of course, this won't happen and we all know why it won't.

So what is the solution? It's going to depend on what Iran does, me thinks, and whether it's Biden or Trump in office won't matter.

Israel has the money and technology to defend it's self from a war but realistically, the only countries that can beat up Israel Is Russia or China both have technology that their missiles can't be detected by the Irondome.
