If the dog is highly active and eats that 1 time a day it is perfectly fine. My dog eats 1kg raw a day.

You do not remember correctly, fresh meat has a way higher protein content, I would say around 20%. I checked what my dog eats and its 16% protein, 16% fat no carbs. My previous dogs lived way longer than average for their breed on same diet. So dogs needing 25% protein is not true either, its the total amount not %.

I really don't like pit bulls or anything even remotely related to a pit bull.
I also feel like people put dogs on way too high of a pedestal. I might own an outdoor dog again one day, and my little one went to live with my mom because it didn't get along with my children (and for some reason it thought I'd choose it over my flesh and blood). I have nothing against them as pets, within reason. But they are most certainly not better or more worthy than people, they do not have magical psychic abilities to tell who is good and bad, most of them would eat their own turds and adjust just fine to life without their master as long as someone else gave them good food. And they most certainly do not need high quality human grade food. The stuff sold as dog food is perfectly nutritionally balanced for them and if you spoil them too much you create a nuisance that always begs under the kitchen table.
I can't believe I used to cook Thanksgiving dinner for my old dog when I was a bored young woman in college. That dog was fine eating toilet paper, it's own poop, and grass. It didn't appreciate the effort at all LOL.
