    I am currently in Lyon

I would say the natives here are phenotypically more similar to Northern Spanish than Brits, although with a higher % of fair hair & light eyes

The actual truth of the matter, is that France is truly intermediate between these very distinct populations ( British and Spanish ). However, there is slightly more overlapping with the Spanish. It should not be exaggerated though.

Pretty much that, was in Lyon last autumn when the rugby was there, Brits looked quite different to locals, Spanish tourists not as much but obviously darker.

I have never heard anyone call the French "wogs" unlike the Italians, Balkaners, Turks and Iberians.

In Canada, the French overlap well with the British and other northwestern peoples.

Aren't French Canadians more northern shifted though?

Neither are so similar to French. The Spaniards have much more Med, the Brits much more Brunn and Keltic Nordid influence than French people, who have much more Alpinids and Dinarids than both other groups.

Otherwise, the Spaniards are bit closer to French people.
