Yeah, more or least local french maybe (according the area) mixed with swiss and western german.
Local like the Irish Travellers are just Irish, genetically.

I didn't respond to Mortimer's comment because it's off topic and I don't know what to respond to this kind of comment (I'm not of gypsy or yenish origin, but I have a cousin who is half northerner from France and half Yéniche, but she has no Indian blood, nor a "dark" phenotype, we are cousins from the northern french side of her family)

There might be local french mixed populations im sure, between celtic travellers and roma people. Who are french gypsies, just like in Britain its wrong that none of them has any relation to the original roma. In Britain so many "gypsies were tested H1 y-dna"

You suspicously often talk about yeniche, travellers, gypsies or whatever, you talked about scandinavian travellers for example too and posted their genetic results. Thats why i associated you with it. No problem if you are not.

The same confusion happens with the "Mercheros" in Spain.

To know for sure if anyone of them is, we should carry large scale genetic tests out, if there is any roma ancestry in any of them, just because they are white doesnt mean they cant descend from gypsies at all. Im sure there are mixed gypsies in spain, who are white.

Because they are different populations and they don't claim any connection with Roma. There are plenty of indigenous groups around Europe that travelled from place to place and mixed with themselves.

So you were not speaking about the Yenish but I thought you were. You were speaking about Flashball personally and I foolishly enough thought we were discussing the Yenish. I mean the thread was about the Yenish afterall so that's what I was discussing and I though you were also discussing the Yenish.



My brain is now fried because I meant to put this somewhere else. I now realise that Mortimer wasn't speaking of the Yenish. I should have just not bothered.
