I don't think Cypriots have very much African ancestry so this would surprise me.. she might have some Levantine ancestry from somewhere closer to the Arabian Peninsula though, like Jordan.

True, but both do look Western European. Of all of the British Isles though, I'd say Scotland has the fewest people that strike me as Iberian. Well, except Sean Connery.

I'm sure the two populations on each shore of the Aegean Sea don't look very different (although Greece has, on average, more whites than Turkey). The whole thing might sound unfair, favoring some swarthy Greeks and penalising some blonde Turks. But then again, if you include Turkey and Cyprus into the "white world" because of a few cherry-picked people, you'll also have to include the Caucasus and Iran and fuck knows what else, because those do have a few blondes and quite a bit of shared history with Europe.

A swarthy Greek is still likely more genetically akin to the rest of Europe than a blonde Turk is.
