Ron Paul - Atlantid with Brunn/Brunn-Alpinoid influences
Ian McKellen - Keltic Nordid with stronger Brunn influences
John Hurt - Keltic Nordid with slight Brunn.
Main similarity are in all 3: eyes & eyebrows, as well as mouth-chin area. Ian and John have a similar Keltic nose, while Ian and Paul have more similar Brunn inspired mouth-chin area, and all have somewhat similar eyes and eyebrows.

Ron Paul: Looks like one of those Kelticized North Atlantid types with a Alpinoid-Brunn/Brunn influence.
Ian McKellen: Keltic-Nordid with a strong Brunn influence.
John Hurt: Keltic-Nordid with a weaker Brunn influence.

I've got to correct myself here after seeing photos of young Ron Paul. Certainly pred. Nordid (slightly Atlantid) + slight Brunnoid influences.
He seems German + some Irish by ancestry, but to me looks Anglo-WASP with additional Irish elements.

On first pic his hair seems blond (side can be seen), and blondism can be seen on 2nd photo. Nordatlantid is a specific type, no blue eyes and black/dark brown hair = no Nordatlantid.
He does have Atlantid, but I also see Nordid in facial features on first picture, so based on it, to me, he seems at least as much Nordid as Atlantid.
