    I enjoyed the text.Thats all.
But It seems to me just another attempt to put Nordics in a pedestal.
    In doubt, everything was Nordic.

Greeks , in fact, are the most hardworking in Europe and the second most hardworking in the world, after South Korea.
Its different to be unproductictive (due to lack of advanced machinery or technology compared to e.g Germany or Japan) and different to be called Lazy.
& the same goes for Sicily! Greeks, Southern Italians, & Sicilians are very hard-working individuals. Don't blame common individuals for how their economy is.

The ancient Greeks were probably not the exact same people as the modern Greeks. Were they all blond-haired Nordics? Some of them might have been, but probably not all.

However, Greece does seem to follow the trend of ancient civilizations that darkened in color, and sunk in importance. Lots of people have invaded and settled that country. Obviously, it's a mixed bag, and not nearly as racially destroyed as Persia and India.

This is an obvious exaggeration, although not totally untrue either.
My own experience of Greek immigrants is that they're much more honest and hard-working than other Southern Europeans (especially the Sicilians, who are very anti-social and lazy). The economic shitstorm in Greece probably has many other factors than tax-dodging and laziness.

Sicilians, anti-social & lazy? Most of us are the complete opposite. My whole family, for instance are workaholics and believe in doing their job the best they can no matter what job it is.

I don't want to derail a thread about Greeks, but here you go:

Well done, but your family seems to be the exception. This is just what I've seen for myself: many Italian immigrants (most of them Sicilians) in neighborhoods where I've lived, were often lazy and averse to working. They were infamous for faking work injuries and collecting money, I remember. Their youth often dressed and acted like "guidos".

There are always groups of people like that in every ethnicity but don't let them overshadow your view of the whole ethnicity

This kind of "Trend" is an Myth invented by North Europeans.
