Facts stay facts, even if they don't fit into your agenda. The € is not a German project and was provably a French condition for reunification. Our trade statistics since the introduction of the common currency 1999 also show clearly, that exports into the €-zone declined steadily, while those into the rest of the world increased.
I wonder how we profit from the crisis? We’ll never see the money again, that we lend to Southern Europe. The interest we would nominally get is a joke, because everyone knows that we sink our money. All the monetary aid just buys time, but without reforms in the troubled economies of the Euro zone, nothing will change and the massive aid turns out to be a bottomless pit. In the end there will be a debt cut and those who lent the money will be the real losers of the crisis.
Our economy still flourishes, because we aren’t that much focused on doomed Europe as the one and only market. It pays out, that our trade partners are diverse.
