    Actually, the ethymology of the name, and Anatolia is simply the same. It means "from the East", so Anatol and Anatolia share the meaning, but are unrelated.

    Hungarian Ferenc origin from the latin Franciscus what is the [medieval] latinized form of the italian Francesco, what came from the French's Italian name: Franchi, etc. So these names not derive from the Germanic name, but there was a Germanic word somewhere on the end of this line.
