That last part of your post sounds pretty sanctimonious (and ironic), especially coming from a Russian, considering that your country as you know it began when Muscovy started snatching up the lands of a thousand different nations around it. The only difference is that Britain conquered the wealthiest places on earth, while all you got was a bunch of empty forests and steppes peopled by a bunch of pisspoor Tataro-Mongols.

Only in 19th century its expansion was partially at expense of existing minor states. After expansion Russians settled in these lands and developed it, everything that was built there was built by Russians.

Britain was taking over some of the oldest and richest civilizations on Earth, plundering all the wealth these civilizations accumulated over centuries and enslaving one way or another their huge populations. They gave next to nothing in exchange to these countries and their people.

First of all, we're not talking about the ethnic makeup of Russia. I'm not going to sit here and list every ethnic group that Russians conquered from the time of Ivan onward. And nah, the "feeble attempt to shut down logic" is the preachy crap that I'm reading in your post. Everything was built by Russians? Bullshit, as if Poles, Balts, Caucasians and all the rest weren't capable of anything beyond savagery, and had to be civilized by the glorious, noble, angelic Russians. Poland-Lithuania was thriving while Russia was still finding it's feet, and was far more relevant than Russia for much of it's history. Even up until Stanislaw August's last days it was still a majorly important European state.

And you are going to talk about "taking but not giving". Are you even aware of your own history for the past 100 years? You kept all your satellite states in abject poverty for the sake of centralization and maintaining the Russian core, that's what the CCCP was all about. Get real buddy, if this is the best you've got.....
