Actually the most dominant Armenian Y DNA is R1b which is as Indo-European (and European for that matter as it is connected to Celtics and Italics) as you can get.

You're right, but most males are still none Indo-european.

    "Armenian men's most common Y-DNA (paternal) haplogroup is R1b, found in about 28 percent of those studied. J2 is the next most common at a frequency of 22 percent. Other haplogroups found among them, in descending order of frequencies, include G (11%), J1 (11%), R1a (8%), T (6%), E (5%), I (4%), L (4%), N (2%), and others (1%)."

    Source http://www.khazaria.com/genetics/armenians.html

R1b, R1a and I are the only haplogroups that are Indo-European in Armenia. J2 is found in the Mediterranean but it is not common, it is common in Jews though. So only 40% of Armenian males carry Indo-European Y DNA, the rest most likely came from invaders.

Also do you know why so many Armenian surnames end in ian? Kardashian Kasparian etc etc.

R1b is the most dominant haplogroup and J2, G, R1a and I etc. are also quite common in various parts of Europe (for example J2 is quite prevalent in the Balkans while G is also prevalent in the Iberian peninsula).

Armenians: Their usual genom is mostly divergent from other Asians, and more comparable with some southern Europeans, chiefly with southern Italians, Andalusians, and Rumanians. Armenians are by their genom closer to other Europeans than Greeks, Estonians, and Lithuanians. http://en.metapedia.org/wiki/Genomic_Europeanism

It comes from the Indo-European mother tongue and means "offspring" or "of" in Armenian. We also have the same in English - Bulgarian, Norwegian, Belgian etc. The ian is also used to connote "of" (Jeffersonian - of Jefferson, so on).
