If the right one wasn't in the photo, I would think of Greeks and Cypriots, easily.
In fact, the second from left looks like a guy of my Uni.

Well I was thinking Greeks or Cypriots, but not just because you are Greek, but when you said they were close to Israel I thought perhaps they could fit into Lebanon or Syrian then.
