    Default Cypriots: Who overlaps?

Given that Cypriots cluster as one group, for the purpose of this they are one group.

    Interesting indeed.

Though I will say, I always thought cypriots were (appearance-wise) closer to greeks, italians, and lebanese. However alot of the ones pictured here are rather 'un-european'. At least to my eyes. Many look rather arabic, even indian for a few cases.
I usually think of cypriots as predominantly east-med in appearance. However, many look rather arabid with east-med in this sample. Are they greek or turkish cypriots?

I will vote based on clementina's sample of images.

That being said, I usually do think of cypriots as looking something like this:

I could be wrong about this though. Where is our cypriot, Chipriota? I would like to hear her thoughts!

Cypriots I would say would look close to Greeks, Turks, Lebanese, Maltese, Sicilians, some Iranians and some Egyptians.

To a smaller part Macedonians, Bulgarians, Armenians and Georgians.

I could be very wrong. Maybe its just the camera that makes them appear rather 'exotic'?

I dont think any of the girls in the pics look indian though.

Most people have to take into consideration that these are summer photos, and Cyprus is not a cold, non-sunny island

If you de-pigment his tan, his facial characteristics have nothing to do with Indians.

Just like, if you see a very tanned Swede (I saw recently a photo posted on Apricity), no matter how tanned he is (and he is much more than I will ever-ever be), he still have the Scandinavian look.

They look like Maltese, Calabrians and Greek islanders.
