Many Armenians perhaps will agree with you. That song is called - "Es arajinn em" - which means "I am the first". And there is a popular comment under the song - "PUTANKEQI MEJ ARAJINES" - which means - "You are the first among putankas." Putanka in Russian means "high paid prostitute".
The irony of situation is that Ripsime is a name of famous Christian Saint in Armenia who belonged to a community of virgins.

its because in Kurdish alphabet. z is pronounced as s in English.
The explanation, for Es at least, is simple. It must be an Northwest Iranic loanword in Armenian (probably from Kurdish), because Es comes from the older Northwestiranic root Esem, which itself derives from Proto-Iranic Esom. This on the other hand derives from Proto-Indoeuropean Egom, which becomes Ego in latin for I and is still used in some languages to describe people who are selfish also called "Egoistic". Here you have the roots of the word.
