    Default Balkans

Because of the claims that some posters make (I won't say her name but she is well known for her trolling around) about which countries the region "Balkans" include, I decided to make this thread to hear the opinions of people how they define the region.

My opinion is that Balkan countries are ex-Yugoslavia (without Slovenia), Romania, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Albania and Greece.

    Anyone thinking something else?

Half of Slovenia is not on the Balkans, and they are Central European Catholics. I don't see Slovenia as Balkan.

For me Croatia also is not very Balkan culturally and historically, but most of your territory is on the Balkans.

I count Romania as Balkan because of the Thracian ancestry, Orthodox religion and similar traditions, folklore and history with other Balkan countries, mostly Bulgaria, Albania and Greece.
