Default Finland sends a song in Swedish to Eurovision Song Contest

Pernilla Karlsson - När Jag Blundar

First song in Swedish in the contest since 1998 Seems the neigbors don't really appreciate the language so much

I think it's a cool thing that they chose a song in Swedish, but the song isn't really that good in my opinion.. Grown to like it a bit more after a couple of times and well I guess it has touching lyrics to some people. Anyways says something that 28% of people voted her in the 1st round and 53% in 2nd round, seems like the language isn't a problem. On the other hand the Eurovision demographic is a bit different maybe.

But yes I think this probably will score near our usual 0-point baseline

I've listened to it now a couple of times and the sad thing is that I don't like it... I wish that she would sing it in English in the contest, it might sound at least a little better then.

I thought it was utter crap when I heard it for the first time, but i've actually developed a liking to it now that I've heard it a few times. Nice little song but of course it has no chance whatsoever to reach a good result in this particular competition.

I think it works best in Swedish, and would prob be bad to try to translate it.

Thats sad, finnish sounds really beautiful compare to most languages.

Finntroll and many other finnish metal bands also sing in swedish.

No, they should sing in English when they venture abroad. Like Lordi did.
